Schwartz, Vic (Heading Nelson Plant - 1973)
Vic Schwartz, who has been a sales-engineer for Nelson Muffler Corporation for
the last three years, last week was introduced to plant employees here as the
new manager of the Neillsville plant of Nelson.
He took over his new duties Tuesday, relieving George Meyer, who will undertake
a newly-created post in project development. Mr. Meyer will remain in
Neillsville and will be connected with M & E Development, a subsidiary of Nelson
Muffler.
Mr. Schwartz comes here from Stoughton. He plans to move his family here as soon
as suitable living arrangements can be made. The family includes Mrs. Schwartz
and their five daughters, only two of whom are still at home. One is in high
school, the youngest is in sixth grade.
Before joining Nelson, Mr. Schwartz had experience at Allis-Chalmers in
mechanical engineering. He is a native of East Troy, where he was graduated from
high school, and attended Marquette University before going into the armed
services.
He was introduced to employees at Nelson last Wednesday afternoon at the change
in shifts by Jos. Ylvisaker, head of production for Nelson and a former manager
of the Neillsville plant.
