Butler (6 September 1973)
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Reineke and son of Boyd; Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bauers of
Fairchild; and Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Altmann and family of Marshfield visited
Sunday at the Arthur Reineke home. Mrs. Enockson and son, Lynn, of Palatine,
Il., returned home with the Altmanns and on Thursday, Mrs. Reineke went after
Mrs. Enockson and son and brought them back to the Reineke home. Mr. Joe
Enockson will come for this family Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Hilman Culp and children of Indianapolis, In., visited in the
neighborhood Sunday. They were guests of his aunts, Mrs. Arthur Reineke and Mrs.
John Bizjak, and of his uncle, Curt Mayenschein.
Mrs. Eugene Janezich and daughter of Indianapolis were dinner guests at the Curt
Mayenschein home Tuesday. Other visitors were: Mr. and Mrs. Albert Morrison of
Willard, Mary Lynn Mayenschein of Milwaukee, and Paul and Mark Mayenschein of
Greenwood.
Mrs. Ralph McIntyre and daughters of Elk Mound visited at the Pirl Burrington
home Wednesday.
Mr. and Mrs. Henry Keller called on Mrs. Chester Daines Thursday and attended
the thrift sale at the Hugo Kuehl home.
Visitors at the Hugo Kuehls last week were: Mr. and Mrs. Victor Kuehl and Gary
Pettis of Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. Norman Johnson of Alderwood Manor, Wash., (she
will be remembered her as Irene Markee); Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Cornwell of Ripon;
and Mrs. Sylvia Winterer and Mrs. Robert Schesel of Thorp.
Brian Daines of Milwaukee, who has been staying at the Chester Daines home and
was employed in Thorp, was injured in a car accident recently. He is recovering
and will soon be back at work.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Morrison and Mike and Jill Schlinsog of Marshfield spent
Thursday and Friday at Pier Lake.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Bauers of Fairchild were recent visitors at the Arthur
Morrison home.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Irish and Eddie john spent the Labor Day weekend at the George
Reed home in Hurley.
Weekend guests at the Palmer home were Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Erikson, missionaries
from Africa; and Mrs. John Hanson and daughter and friend of Anoka, Mn.
Mrs. John Kile received work this week that her nephew, Peter Possely of
Chicago, is very ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Stremikis and children spent the weekend in Marsensic, Mich.
Mr. and Mrs. Joe Wavrunek and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Haut of Neillsville; and Mr. and
Mrs. Joe Cesafsky of Eau Claire visited Sunday at the Collins home. The occasion
was Ray Collins’ birthday.
