Mielke, Anna H. (30 DEC 1911 – 4 SEP 1967)
Mrs. Anna Mielke, 75, route 1, Colby, died at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield,
Sept. 4, 1967. She had been in ill health for the past year and a half.
Funeral services will be held today, Sept. 7, at 2 p.m. at Zion Lutheran Church,
Colby. The Rev. David Pankow will officiate and burial will take place in the
Colby Memorial Cemetery.
The body will lie in state at the Lulloff Funeral Home until 11 a.m., when it
will be taken to the church.
The former Anna Hulda Potz was born Dec. 30, 1911 at Sisseton, S.D. She came to
Wisconsin at the age of nine years with her family. She lived at March Rapids
until her married to Otto Mielke, July 6, 1929, at Immanuel Lutheran Church
there. She received her education at Stratford.
For the past 38 years, Mr. and Mrs. Mielke lived on a farm in the town of Holton
(Marathon Co., Wis.).
She is survived by her husband and five daughters, Mrs. Francis (Betty) Boehm of
Milwaukee, Mrs. William (Alvina) Giese of Edgar, Mrs. Bernell (Evelyn) Waldinger
of Peoria, Ill., Mrs. Wendell (Anita) Bauman of Edgar, and Mrs. Albert Mielke of
Colby. There are 15 grandchildren.
Her father, Henry Potz of Chicago, also survives, and there are three sisters
and a brother, Mrs. Carl (Louise) Baumgart, Mrs. Lawrence (Agnes) Ratz and Mrs.
Henry (Ella) Baumgart, all of Chicago, Mrs. Alex (Adelle) Holstrom, Livonia,
Mich., and Walter Potz of Marshfield.
A brother preceded her in death.

Several items of information received by the Tribune-Phonograph for the obituary
of Mrs. Anna Hulda Mielke error.
Mrs. Mielke, of route 1, Colby, who was 55 years of age, died Sept. 4 at St.
Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield. She and her husband had lived on a farm in the
town of Frankfort for the past 38 years.
Survivors include her husband, one son, Albert Mielke of Colby, and four
daughters, (Mrs. Francis (Betty) Boehm of Milwaukee, Mrs. William (Alvina) Giese
of Edgar, Mrs. Bernell (Evelyn) Waldinger of Peoria, Ill., and Mrs. Wendell
(Anita) Bauman of Edgar.
