Larsen, Rhonda (Marriage - 1 September 1973)
Miss Rhonda Larsen and Mark Lyons exchanged wedding vows Saturday, September 1,
in a 2 p.m. ceremony performed at Calvary Lutheran Church. The Rev. Ronald J.
Nordin officiated.
The bride, presented in marriage by her father, is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Royce Larson, Neillsville. The groom is the son of Russell Lyons of Neillsville
and the late Mrs. Marcelene Lyons.
A bouquet of daisies and ivy complimented the bride’s Juliet style gown of
crepeset fashioned with lantern sleeves and a skirt flowing into a chapel train.
Her lace-edged veil fell from a venise lace headpiece.
Miss Holly Van Gorden was the maid of honor and Angela Geier, Wilton, the
bridesmaid. Their maize yellow gowns of sheer nylon organza featured taffeta
lining and ribbon and lace trim. Daisies formed their bouquets.
Charles Schlegelmilch served as bestman and Jay Larsen, as groomsman. Ushering
duties were shared by Ken Pischer and Rick Sturtz.
Soloist Pam Kessler sang ‘The Wedding Song’ and ‘We Are in One in the Spirit’ to
a guitar self-accompaniment.
The new Mrs. Lyons graduated from Gateway Technical Institute with an associate
degree in horticulture and is employed as a horticulturist. Her husband will
graduate in December from the institute’s practical nursing course. The couple
will live at 430 10th St. in Kenosha.
