De Haan, Mr./Mrs. William (Silver – 5 SEP 1967)
Mr. and Mrs. William De Haan of route 1, Abbotsford, observed their 25th wedding
anniversary at their home Tuesday evening, Sept. 5. Mr. De Haan, who is
presently receiving treatment at River Pines Sanatorium, Stevens Point, was home
for the occasion and he and Mrs. De Haan received congratulations and best
wishes of friends in attendance.
Mr. De Haan and the former Naomi Miller were married at Harvard, Ill., sept. 5,
1942. They farmed at nearby Alden and then in 1950 came to their present home in
the town of Mayville (Clark Co., Wis.), which they operated until 1965 when
their only son, Claude, took over the farm.
Guests at the silver anniversary observances were Mr. and Mrs. William Erickson
and son, Bill, Spencer; Mr. and Mrs. Leonard Bush, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Carlson,
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Fenske and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nixdorf, Dorchester; Mr. and
Mrs. Lawrence Schmidt, Colby; Mr. and Mrs. Arvid Carlson, Mr. and Mrs. Ole
Hanson, Peter Hanson, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Irish, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Kalepp Sr.,
Mr. and Mrs. Milton Prien, Mr. and Mrs. Adolph Voge, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbert
Limback, and Mr. and Mrs. Art Weideman, Abbotsford.
