Miss Kathleen Kramer of Abbotsford became the bride of Alan Carl Schmidt of
Madison in a ceremony performed by Rev. Emil Hodnik at St. Bernard's Catholic
Church, Abbotsford, Saturday, Sept. 9, 1967. Mrs. Dan Decker was organist for
the 6:30 p.m. nuptial ceremony.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Earl Kramer and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore
Schmidt, all of Abbotsofrd.
The bride, who was given in marriage by her father, appeared in a floor length
empire gown of silk organza over taffeta, with bateau neckline featuring jewel
trimmed lace on the bodice and down the front of the A-line skirt, completed by
a chapel train of organza edged with lace and attached at the shoulders. Her
bouffant illusion veil was secured to a petal cluster of re-embroidered Alencon
lace with pearl trim. She carried a bouquet of yellow roses.
Miss Diana Kramer of Hudson and Miss Judith Kramer of Abbotsford were maid of
honor and bridesmaid, respectively. They wore floor length formals with velvet
bodices and satin accenting the empire waistlines on the sheath skirts of crepe,
the back, being completed by Watteau panels. They wore matching floral cluster
headpieces with pouf veils. Each carried a long stemmed yellow rose.
Attending the groom were Daniel Schmidt, Racine, as best man, and Roger Wojner,
Abbotsford, groomsman. Alan Schultz of Abbotsford and Roger Bartnik of
Dorchester performed the ushering duties.
The ceremony was followed by a reception and buffet luncheon at the Abbotsford
City Hall, and a wedding dance.
The bride is a 1967 graduate of Abbotsford High School and has been employed at
Dorchester Factory Co., Dorchester. The groom, a 1965 graduate of Abbotsford
High School, is employed at Central Storage and Warehouse Co., Madison.
The couple will live at 6515 Oakwood Place, Madison.
Guests came from Chicago, Marshfield, Arpin, Spencer, Catawba, Colby,
Abbotsford, Dorchester, Stetsonville, Racine and Wis. Rapids, and St. Paul,
Minn.
