Schulte, Alvina (26 SEP 1881 – 1 OCT 1967)
Funeral services for Mrs. Alvina Schulte, 86, of Abbotsford, were held Wednesday
afternoon at 2 p.m. at Christ Lutheran Church, Abbotsford. She died Sunday
evening at St. Joseph's Hospital, Marshfield.
The Rev. F.H. Sprengler officiated at the services and burial was made in the
Green Grove Cemetery.
The Lulloff Funeral Home in Colby was in charge of the services.
Alvina Awe was born in the town of Green Grove in Clark Co., Wis. Sept. 26,
1881. She attended the Green Grove School, and was confirmed at St. Paul's
Lutheran Church at Green Grove. Her marriage to Charles Schulte took place Sept.
25, 1907, and the couple lived on a farm in the town of Colby until 1941, when
they moved to a farm in the town of Holton (Marathon Co., Wis.).
Her husband preceded her in death in 1959. For the past four years she lived in
Abbotsford.
She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church in Abbotsford, and the Ladies' Aid.
She also was active in the Rosedale Homemakers Club.
She is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Walter (Lorinda) Fink of Colby, Mrs.
Norman (Leona) Behninger of Owen, and a son, Rueben, Schulte, of route 1,
Abbotsford. There are six grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Bertha Domer of Eau Claire and Mrs.
Ben (Hilda) Boehnlein of New Holstein, and two brothers, John Awe of Withee and
Herman Awe of Owen.
Besides her husband, she is preceded in death by one son, who died in infancy,
and three sisters.
