East Weston – West York (1 Aug 1918)
Mrs. Albert Neis and two sons, Devere and Shirley, are up from Lodi to visit
relatives and friends.
Dan Timerson and family autoed up from Milwaukee Friday. They just returned from
an across country auto trip to Maryland and they say that old Wisconsin is good
enough for them. They expect to locate here.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Wendt, Jr., were called to Neillsville Sunday night by the
serious illness of his father.
Mrs. J. Dietrich of Granton and Mrs. Claude McGinnis and dAughter of St. Paul,
were guests at the Gus. Miller home Tuesday.
Mrs. C.J. Drabeck and two children returned to their home in Chicago Saturday
after a two weeks’ visit at Antone Schaefer’s.
Erick Lueck is putting a cement floor in his barn basement.
Thomas Peary, who has been working for Ed. Begley, Jr., all summer, returned
home to Humbird Saturday to assist with the home farm work as his brother was
called into army service last week.
Glen Robinson has been spending his vacation with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Earl
Robinson.
Edward Joyce was among those called into army service Friday.
Mrs. Chas. Visk and two children of Chicago are here to visit Mrs. Visk’s
sister, Mrs. Antone Schaefer.
H.H. Eberhardt and G. Colin of Neillsville were in this neighborhood several
days last week, trying to sell pianos. Wm. Hurlburt bought one.
