Dr. Brooks and family left today (Thursday) for Chetak to spend the week.

Mrs. J.W. Hommel was called to Chicago yesterday by the illness of her sister.

Merrill Darling and family have moved back to Neillsville from Wisconsin Veteran’s Home.

John Mund found an abstract of title on the circus grounds Tuesday. It can be had at this office.

B. Picus and children were here from Loyal Thursday to meet Mrs. Picus who was returning home from the hospital at Rochester. They spent the afternoon with Mr. and Mrs. Harry Svirnoff.

Miss Dorothy Dwyer of Alma Center spent a few days here this week with friends.

Miss Clara Hein went to Hammond Tuesday to spend a short time before returning to her home at Tony.

Mrs. Frank Bremer returned home to Chicago yesterday after a short visit with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Dan Sack.

Mrs. George Gruber and little son, Paul William., arrived here last week from Dubuque, Iowa, for a visit with her mother, Mrs. Anna Neis.

Mr. and Mrs. J.L. Kleckner and their company, Mr. and Mrs. Marthaler of Chicago, left Sunday morning in the Kleckner car for Chicago.

Mr. and Mrs. Nick Linster, Mrs. Mary Prock, Mrs. Anna Nies and Mrs. George Gruber autoed to Loyal Sunday to spend the day with friends.

Miss Gertrude Farning is taking a vacation from her work at the telephone office. She went to Owen yesterday to spend a few days with friends.

The Ladies Aid of the M.E. Church will meet Wednesday, Aug. 14. The entertaining committee is Mrs. Colman, Mrs. Rowe, Mrs. Kapfer, Mrs. Wildish and Mrs. Counsell.

Mr. and Mrs. George Campbell of Milwaukee spent a few days with Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Shaw, going to Sharon on Tuesday to visit for a few days.
