Mrs. Chas. Poole went to Elroy Tuesday to spend a few days.

Ralph Blackman returned to his work at Langdon, N.D., Tuesday.

Mrs. Ruth Dittmer went to La Crosse Tuesday to spend a few days.

Mrs. Chas. Holte went to Milwaukee Tuesday to buy millinery goods.

Miss Jesse Dwyer went to Camp Grant to spend a few days.

Mr. and Mrs. John Cook went to La Crescent, Minn., Tuesday to spend a short time.

Rev. Auman of Jefferson came Tuesday to spend a few days here with his parents.

Miss Barbara Prochazka is here from Chicago spending her vacation with her parents.

Mr. and Mrs. Havens of Marengo, Ill., autoed up Tuesday to spend a few days at Mr. Havens’ farm.

Chas. Gilman and wife are here from Friendship visiting Mr. and Mrs. J.E. Ketel and also his parents at Loyal.

Mrs. Jake Haas returned Tuesday from her visit at Jefferson. She also spent a couple days with her husband at Camp Grant last week.

Mrs. E.G. Wahl and children and her father, C.W. Phillips, returned Wednesday from a visit with Mrs. Wahl’s sister in Milwaukee.

Rev. Stuki and dAughter, Miss Hannah, came up from Black River Falls Friday to spend a few days at the home of Rev. and Mrs. Grether. Miss Stuki will remain here and attend school this winter.

Mrs. Trogner received a letter from her son, John, at Kansas City, stating that he likes the new army life very much and that he particularly wished to refute the rumor that the boys were not well cared for. He stated that they were splendidly fed and clothed in every way.

On Tuesday evening of last week the employees of the Bog store served a banquet at the store in honor of their fellow employee, John M. Trogner, who left for Kansas City, to enter the auto training services of the army. The event was a very enjoyable one.
