Granton (23 September 1973)

Mr. and Mrs. Erwin Farnsworth were supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Schmoll at rural Spencer Sunday evening.

Mrs. Lloyd Spry will entertain the Granton Happy Homemakers club today (Thursday).

Emil Henninger returned home Friday from memorial Hospital where he underwent surgery recently. Visitors expected at the Henninger home this weekend are: Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Klein and family of St. Paul, Mn, Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Henninger and family of Neosho and Mr. and Mrs. Rudy Horvat and family of Willard. Seven family birthdays will be celebrated at a picnic dinner Sunday.

The Rev. and Mrs. Alfred Wolkenhauer of Burnett were weekend visitors of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Helm, Mr. and Mrs. Louis Helm, Mrs. Arnold Garbisch, Mr. and Mrs. Edward Garbisch and Dan Garbisch. The Wolkenhauers were houseguests of her sister and brother-in-law, the Henry Helms, and left from there to visit with his sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Thur at Fairchild.

Mrs. Garfield Freeberg, Eau Claire, spent last Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Van L. Kayser.

The Clarence Ganthers were guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Downer in Neillsville for a cookout Sunday. Margo Ganther, who is teaching junior high school instrumental music at Cambridge, Mn, is expected home for the Fall Festival weekend.

Mrs. Myrtie Davis was to entertain the Romadka Homemakers club Wednesday afternoon.

Mrs. Floyd Pietenpol is presenting making her home with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Ganther.

Rich and Peter Bartsch, Doug Zaleski and Jeff Crandall returned home recently from a two and one-half week trip to the western states and California.
