Neillsville Locals (13 September 1973)
Visitors last weekend at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Burr were their twin
daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Yakesh and children of Bloomer and
Mrs. Donald Dalke and two sons of Beaver Dam. Mrs. Yakesh and Mrs. Dahlke, both
members of the Neillsville High School class of ’58, attended their class
reunion.
A Father and Son barbeque was held Sunday evening at Calvary Lutheran Church.
Mr. and Mrs. Don Clemens were co-chairmen of the event.
Labor Day holiday guests at the C. L. Christensen cottage at Wissota Beach were
Mr. and Mrs. John Barr, John Jr., and Kristi Lynn of Illinois, Mrs. Mel Mueller,
Christopher and Michelle of Neillsville and Mr. and Mrs. Tom Larson, Jennie and
Carrie of Eau Claire. The Larson’s motorboat added to the group’s enjoyment of
Lake Wissota.
Mr. and Mrs. Bud Bremer have returned from a 5,800 mile trip which took them
through the Ozarks and to Seattle, Wa., where they visited with friends and
relatives.
Mrs. Marie Keller has returned home after spending a week visiting relatives in
Milwaukee, where she was the houseguest of her grandson and his wife, Mr. and
Mrs. Orrin Benduhn, and also attended the wedding of a granddaughter. Enroute
home, she attended a family reunion at the home of her brother and
sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Ben Schroeder, in Madison. Other Schroeder brothers
and sisters present were William Schroeder of Olympia, Wa., and his
grandchildren from Illinois, Mr. and Mrs. Gerhardt Schroeder of Kenosha, Mrs.
Agnes Hovorka of Racine and Mrs. Louise Tramm of Rockford, Il.
The James Simensons attended the wedding of his niece in Minnesota over the
weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Fred Marg, Mrs. Lillian Marg and Mrs. Emma Bardeleben spent
Saturday evening with the Melvin Marg family and also were Sunday dinner and
supper guests at the Art Wegner home.
