Brekke, Donna Mae (Marriage - 8 September 1973)

The First Lutheran Church, Eau Claire, was the setting for the wedding of Miss Donna Mae Brekke, Eau Claire, and Michael R. Melvin of Rt. 1 Neillsville. The Rev. Maynard Midthun officiated at the 2 p.m. ceremony, which was followed by a reception at the church.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brekke of Eau Claire. The groom is the foster son of Mrs. Alice Kissling, rural Neillsville.

The bride’s sister, Miss Lois Brekke, attended her as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Sandy Shea and Leona Melvin. Another sister of the bride, Sally Brekke was the flower girl.

Ken Melvin served as best man. Groomsmen were Mike Kissling and Ronnie Melvin and the ringbearer was Patrick Lee. Dennis Spiegel and Eugene Spiegel seated guests.

The newlyweds planned a wedding trip to Virginia Beach, VA. They will make their home on Rt. 1 Neillsville.
