Moennig, April Dawn (Marriage - 15 September 1973)

The marriage of Miss April Dawn Moennig and William V. Weirick was solemnized Saturday, September 15, in a 2 p.m. ceremony performed at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church by the Rev. Norman W. Lindloff. A reception was held that evening in the recreation room of the Washburn store. Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Herold Moennig and Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Weirick, all of Rt. 1 Neillsville.

A short veil framed the bride’s lace, A-line style gown fashioned with an attached train. She carried a bouquet of roses as she was presented in marriage by her father.

Attending the bride were Nan Ouimette as maid of honor and Randi Boos, Chippewa Falls, and Pat Buddinger as bridesmaids. Their full-length gold gowns were complimented by matching hats and bouquets of bronze and white mums.

Allen Weirick acted as bestman and Glen Miller and Steve Daniels, as groomsmen. Guests were seated by Jesse and Douglas Moennig. Victor Lehmann was the organist.

The bride attended Neillsville High School. Her husband graduated from Neillsville High School and also attended Brown’s broadcasting institute in Minneapolis, Mn. He is employed as an announcer at an Ironwood, Mi. radio station. The couple will live on Rt. 1 Hurley.
