Cronin, Levina (4 March 1904 - 8 September 1973)

Funeral services were held September 12 at the Henry Anderson Mortuary in Minneapolis, Mn, for a Greenwood native, Mrs. Jay Cronin, 69, who died September 8 in a Minneapolis hospital following a stroke. The Rev. John Parbst officiated and burial was made in the Fort Snelling National Cemetery.

Mrs. Cronin, the former Levina Moberg, was born March 4, 1904, in Greenwood to Ole and Christina Moberg. She was educated in Greenwood schools, graduating with the class of 1922. She taught school in North Dakota before her marriage to Jay Cronin, who died in 1961. Following their marriage they lived in Minneapolis, where she was employed as a licensed practical nurse for many years.

Surviving are one son John Patrick Cronin of Maple Grove, Mn; one daughter, Mrs. Carol Cowell of Maplewood, Mn; and two granddaughters, Dagne and Danielle Cowell. She is also survived by two brothers, Elery Moberg of Greenwood and John Moberg of Escanaba, Mi.

Among those attending the services for their sister-in-law were Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Vollrath of Greenwood.
