Bradow, Delores Evelyn (Maier) (28 OCT 1928 - 4 MAR 2015)
Delores Evelyn Bradow, 86, Medford, died on Wednesday, March 4 at Aspirus Care
and Rehab in Medford.
Funeral services were held on Friday, March 6 at Hemer Funeral Home in Medford,
with Rev. James Krueger officiating. Inurnment of her cremated remains will be
at Medford Evergreen Cemetery at a later date.
The former Delores Maier was born on May 9, 1928 in Athens to the late John and
Minnie (Fielder) Maier. She attended Immanuel Lutheran Schools where she
completed up to the sixth grade.
On Sept. 9, 1950, she married Paul A. Bradow, who preceded her in death on Sept.
9, 1958. They farmed in the town of Hammel for a short time. After her husband's
death, she moved to Medford and worked at Marathon Cheese for 20 years.
She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Medford and was
active in several church organizations. She enjoyed going on walks, puzzles,
crossword puzzles, watching birds, nature, and spending time with her
grandchildren.
Survivors include her son, Dennis (Karen) Bradow of Deerfield; four sisters,
Shirley Lepak of Pewaukee, Jean Kowalski of Milwaukee, Audrey (Dennis) Kautzer
of Stetsonville and Carol Hart of Marshfield; a sister-in-law, Jo Ann Maier of
Medford; and two grandchildren, Matthew (Lisa) Bradow and Kimberly Bradow.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two
brothers, Merlin and Lawrence Maier, and two sisters, Dorothy Cornwell and one
in infancy.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in her honor may be made to Immanuel
Evangelical Lutheran Church.
