Dekarske, Vila (Marriage - 22 September 1973)
September 22 was the date chosen by Vila Dekarske of Dorchester and Carl
Erickson of Unity for their afternoon wedding. The Rev. F. H. Sprengler, former
pastor of St. Peter’s Lutheran Church, Dorchester, performed the ceremony at his
home in Thorp.
The bride appeared in a brown, street-length dress highlighted by a corsage of
yellow roses.
Attendants for the couple were the bride’s daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs.
Donald (Betty) Wolf of Dorchester. A corsage of light pink roses accented Mrs.
Wolf’s rose-colored, street-length dress.
A dinner for the wedding party and the bride’s children was held at Dave’s Steak
House at Owen. The couple greeted friends and relatives at a reception in the
Curtiss Hall.
Mrs. Erickson is employed as activity director at Colby Colonial House.
Following a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin, the newlyweds will make their
home at Dorchester.
