Miller, Teresa Anne (28 OCT 1967)
The marriage of Miss Teresa Anne Miller and Robert A. Misener, both of Madison,
took place Saturday, Oct. 28, 1967 at a 1 p.m. nuptial high mass at St. Mary's
Catholic Church, Colby.
Father John E. Olson officiated at the ceremony and Sister Louise Marie provided
organ music as the children's choir sang.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Leo D. Miller, Colby, and the groom's
parents are Mr. and Mrs. Glen Misener, West Allis.
The bride, given in marriage by her father, was seen in a floor length gown of
crepe peau with bateau neckline, long tapered sleeves and an empire waistline.
The sheath skirt featured a redingote effect, completed by a full circular
attached Watteau train. Alencon lace with seed pearls and iridescents trimmed
the neckline, bodice and back of the train.
Her bouffant illusion veil was secured to a re-embroidered Alencon lace floral
cluster headpiece embellished with pearls and aurora borealis crystals. She
carried a cascade arrangement of white roses, salal leaves and ivy.
Her matron of honor, Mrs. Dwight Treankler, and the maid of honor, Miss Mary
Miller, wore gold sleeveless floor length formals in empire style, with brocade
bodices and crepe sheath skirts, completed by gold brocade coats with small bow
trim at the center front. Each wore a matching petal cluster headpiece with pouf
veil. They carried arrangements of yellow and bronze chrysanthemums.
Kenneth Misener, brother of the groom, was the best man, and Patrick Miller,
brother of the bride, was groomsman. Performing the ushering duties were LeRoy
Misener, Rib Lake, and Wayne Misener, Madison.
Following the ceremony, a reception was held at the Colby City Hall and a
wedding dinner was served at St. Mary's Dining Hall at 5 p.m.
The bride is a 1966 graduate of Colby High School and is employed at Madison
General Hospital. The groom graduated from Abbotsford High School in 1963 and is
now employed at Frank Wholesale Company in Madison. The newlyweds will make
their new home in McFarland.
Guests were present from Abbotsford, Colby, Unity, Rib Lake, Madison, Milwaukee,
West Allis, Wausau, Middleton, Athens, Loyal, and Scranton and Jefferson, Ia.
