Faber, Ludwig G. (28 August 1887 - 21 September 1973)
Funeral services were held Monday at 1:30 p.m. from Immanuel Methodist Church,
Chili, for Ludwig G. Faber, 86, of Chili, who died September 21 in Neillsville.
The Rev. L. L. McCormick officiated and burial was made in the Yolo Cemetery.
Arrangements were made by the Gilbertson Funeral Home, Granton.
Ludwig Faber was born August 28, 1887, in the Town of Lynn and attended the
Poplar Grove School there. He was married to the former Emma Schmitz on December
22, 1917, in the Town of Fremont. Mr. Faber operated a farm in the town of
Fremont from 1914 to 1964, when he and his wife moved to Chili.
Survivors, in addition to his wife, are a son, Norman, of Granton; five sisters,
Mrs. Emma Reisner of Marshfield, Mrs. Adeline Donnerbauer of Milwaukee, Mrs. Joe
Donnerbauer of Chili, Mrs. Oscar Krause of Granton and Mrs. Al Verhasselt of
Phlox; and three grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Charles Gardner, Harold Searles, Ervin Haslow, Otto Rusch,
Albert Lindow and Otto Sternitzky.
Vocalists Harland Meisner and Lavern Meissner were accompanied by Miss Bonnie
Meissner on the organ.
