Christopherson, Alma (18 October 1892 - 27 October 1973)

A native of the town of Weston, Mrs. Alma Christopherson, 80, of Memorial Home, died there September 27. Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon from the Georgas Funeral Home with the Rev. Melvin Nickel of the United Methodist Church officiating. Burial was made in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Mrs. Christopherson, the daughter of Emil and Christine Seif Poppe, was born October 18, 1892, in the Town of Weston and was educated in local schools. Her marriage of Oscar Christopherson took place July 3, 1916, in Neillsville. The couple farmed until 1941, when they moved into the city. Mr. Christopherson died December 23, 1964.

Pallbearers were Alvin Jacob, Lawrence McKevitt, Roland Kalsow, Walter Oldham, William Oldham, and William Schwellenbach. Wilfred Galstad sand ‘How Great Thou Art’ and ‘Abide with Me’. The accompanist was Miss Marilyn Galstad.

Among those attending the services were the following from out-of-town: Mr. and Mrs. Wilmer Kroll, Rothschild; Mr. and Mrs. Al Prock, Owen; Mr. and Mrs. Harry Swartz, Lloyd Mund, Dorothy P. Johnson, Joe Christopherson and Mrs. Virginia Jones, Rockford, Il.: Mr. and Mrs. Carl Poppe, Sheboygan; Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Sternitzky, Granton and Donald Johnson, Woodstock, Il.
