The Misses Minnie and Esther Thompson of Milwaukee returned to their home Sunday
after a week's Easter vacation at the home of their brother, Alfred Thompson and
daughter, Karen.
Mrs. Fred Pudlas entered St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield for medical
treatments.
Mr. and Mrs. Byron Glass of Neillsville were Saturday guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Sherman Long.
Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Graham and family of Joliet, Ill., spent their Easter
vacation last week at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Thompson.
Herman Fritche, who suffered a heart attack last week, is a patient at Memorial
Hospital at Medford.
Guests during the Easter holidays at the A.A. Laabs home were there son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. James Laabs, Bay City, Mich., Mr. and Mrs. Richard
Goff and daughter, Marshfield, and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Haderlein of Milan.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lipprandt attended the Buss Oldenhoff wedding at Athens
Saturday.
Herman Klocke and his mother, Mr. Herman Fritche visited with Herman Fritche at
Memorial Hospital Monday
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fahrenbach and Marge Wiedmond were Saturday evening guests
at the Orville Lieders home in Abbotsford.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Witt Sr. drove to Alexandria, Minn. Saturday to visit his
twin brother, Jack Witt and family. They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Elmer
Witt of Abbotsford, and returned home Sunday evening. They found driving and the
roads to be very hazardous on their way home.
The Curtiss Homemakers plan to attend achievement day at the Abbotsford High
School guyn, which will be held May 1 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Carole Frane and
Dorothy Geary will model hats, which were made of articles from the kitchen.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz entertained relatives at a family dinner Sunday in
observance of their son, Leroy's birthday. Guests were Mr. and Mrs. Clarence
Schultz and family, Curtiss, Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Kuegler, Dorchester, Emil
Laabs, Colby, Donna Fritz, Owen.
Mrs. Willard Geary, Mrs. Roger Maki, Mrs. A.M. Erickson attended the capping and
candlelight ceremony of Sue E. Geary at Schofield Hall Auditorium Sunday at 2
p.m. at Luther School of Nursing, Eau Claire.
