Matt Lampi and daughter, Gertrude, of Highland Park, Ill., arrive here on Tuesday to enjoy the summer on the farm.

Last week, Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Baily, Brenda and Ross of Racine spent several days visited her folks and Mr. and Mrs. Herb Thompson.

Mrs. Laina Strand of San Diego, Calif., and Mrs. Alma Roberts of Madison arrived here on May 20 for a visit at the home of their sister, Mrs. Helen Simon and will remain until after graduation.

Mr. and Mrs. Herb Thompson and son Johnnie spent the weekend in Waukesha visiting their daughter, Ruth, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Rose and family, and also getting acquainted with their little grandson, Brad, born April 27, 1965.

Dale Laube, six year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Laube, returned home from St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, being confined the past three weeks due to an eye injury, which caused him to lose the sight of his left eye.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Fricke spent the weekend fishing with their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Art Lokken, in northern Wisconsin.

Mr. and Mrs. Louie Schecklman of Waukegan, Ill. spent this weekend visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Porath.

Julius Johnson spent Monday in Chippewa Falls, where he is taking eye treatments.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Telin of Menasha were weekend visitors at the Lehmann and Nicks homes. Sunday visitors were Clarence Geary and daughter, Dorothy, Curtiss, and W.E. Nicks Sr. and Mr. and Mrs. Walter Nicks and family of Dorchester.

Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Beck, Mrs. Myron Robinson, Mrs. Ivan Anderson and Mrs. Albert Peterson from Orion and Lynn Center, Ill., visited relatives at Owen a week ago Monday, while here to attend the funeral of Roy Peterson at Abbotsford.

Mr. and Mrs. Milford Wenzel returned home Sunday from a two week vacation spent in Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Zaborowski and family spent the weekend with her mother, Mrs. Violet Poppe.

Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hautamaki motored to Eau Claire Saturday to attend the wedding of Mrs. Hautamaki's niece, Beverly Schirmacher to James Meyer. The ceremony was performed at the Lake St. Methodist Church at Eau Claire.

John Roohr arrived home from Los Angeles, Calif. A week ago Saturday, where he had spent the winter with his son and daughter-in-law. He also visited a son in Madison.

Mary Telin entered Memorial Hospital at Stanley a week ago Tuesday and underwent surgery.

Judge and Mrs. R.F. Gaffney and family attended the funeral of his sister, Miss Bernadette Gaffney of Biron, Wis., on Saturday.

Sgt. And Mrs. William Johnson of Columbus, Ga., visited at the home of her parents, Judge and Mrs. R.F. Gaffney, for two days and also attended the funeral of her aunt at Biron Saturday.

Richard J. Gaffney, son of Judge and Mrs. R.F. Gaffney has finished basic training at Lakeland Air Force Base, Texas, and has been promoted from airman basic to Airman 3rd class. He leaves this week for Amarillo, Tex. To begin an eleven week course in inventory management specialist.

Larry Ciokiewicz and family moved to their new home on the same place owned by Alfred Ciokiewicz, which is in Onalaska, Wis. Larry is employed there by the Trane Company as co-pilot for the North Central Airlines.

The Royal Neighbors will travel to Thorp on Tuesday evening, June 1 to meet with Mrs. Orpha Hull. For transportation call Mrs. C. Knaack or Mrs. Jack Fritz.

A son was born to Mr. and Mrs. Donald Mengel, May 10, 1965, at Mayville, Wis.
