Mrs. F.H. Matthias, who spent the winter at the home of her son and
daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Matthias, Danville, Calif., and Mrs.
Bertha Peterson, who was a guest at the home of her sons, Arlyn Peterson and Mr.
and Mrs. Franklin Peterson, San Francisco, Calif., the past winter, returned to
their home's Tuesday.
George Schweder and Amy Leonard of Chicago brought them home and spent several
days at the Peterson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Eldon Pollnow of Hartford and Mrs. Martha Miller, Colby, were
guests at the home of their sister, Mrs. Anna Lipprandt Wednesday.
John Rosenquist, Mrs. Hilma Gibbs and Harvey Rosenquist of Waukegan, Ill. were
Friday evening overnight guests at the Clarence Schultz home.
Mr. and Mrs. George Koerner spent the past weekend at the cottage home of Mr.
and Mrs. Donald Trowbridge, Miladore, Wis.
Mrs. Belle Veglahm, Mrs. Julia Engh, Mrs. Clarence Stockmeyer, Mrs. Jack
Strauser of La Crosse were Saturday and Sunday guests at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Alfred Erickson.
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Matthias of Ashland were weekend guests at the home of his
mother, Mrs. F.H. Matthias.
Mr. and Mrs. Hubert Glenzer, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Laabs, Mrs. Paul Woik drove to
Plymouth Sunday morning, where they attended funeral services for a relative.
They returned home Sunday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bakke and George Hunt returned home Thursday evening from
San Rafael and other points there, where they visited relatives the past three
weeks.
Clyde Peissig, who was stationed at Grand Forks, N.D., is spending this week
with his family here and his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig.
Mr. and Mrs. Andrew Lien and Mrs. Sherman Long drove to Marshfield Sunday
afternoon, where they visited Mrs. Lawrence Klemetson at St. Joseph's Hospital,
and other friends there.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Tischer and son are leaving for Milwaukee this week, where
they will make their future home.
Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lipprandt attended the silver wedding celebration of Mr. and
Mrs. Ervin Zelm at Longwood Sunday evening.
Mrs. C.W. Geary is spending this week at Markesan, Wis., visiting at the home of
her son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Geary and family.
Mr. and Mrs. Howard Frane and family were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Wayne Kuntz, Dubuque, Ia. They attended first communion services for their
two nephews, the Kuntz children.
