Neillsville Locals (4 October 1973)

Weekend guests at the Roland Kalsow home were the Misses Helene and Petra Kalsow of St. Paul, Mn, and Mr. and Mrs. James Tank and family of Brillion.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and Mrs. Hattie Forman spent last Sunday and Monday in St. Paul, Mn, where they visited with Pastor and Mrs. Daniel Zielske and family. He is a former pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church at Christie. Monday, the Zielskes took their guests on a sightseeing tour around Minneapolis.

Mrs. Ann Piotrowski drove to La Crosse Thursday to join her brother, Chuck Tichy, and family for a trip to St. Louis, Mo., to attend a wedding reception for her nephew, the Tichys’ son, Ronald, and the former Miss Sue Seaman. While there, they toured the open coal mines at Du Quoin, Il., and the antique museum farm at Mendota, Il., before returning home Tuesday.

Mrs. Ida Seefeldt of Spencer spent a couple weeks with her sister-in-law, Mrs. Emma Bruss, and with Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Georgas. Last Friday, Mrs. Hattie Forman was a supper guest of Mrs. Bruss and Mrs. Seefeldt and spent the evening with them. Mrs. Forman also spent a couple days recently with her Granddaughter, Mrs. Roger Bender and family near Loyal.

Mr. and Mrs. John Mazola and family of Milwaukee were weekend guests at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Hugh Howard, the occasion being the observance of the Howard’s wedding anniversary. All were supper guests Saturday at the home of the Howard’s son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Howard and son, Todd, in Thorp.

Bobbie Phillips visited with his aunt, Mrs. Ann Piotrowski, Sunday. He had just received his discharge, having served a four year tour-of-duty in the Navy. His home is in Atlanta, Ga.

Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Lavene and son Ricky, Mrs. Hattie Forman, Gary Lavene and Dennie Dux were dinner and supper guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Roger Bender and family near Loyal, the occasion being the observance of the fourth birthday of their daughter, Lynnette. Mrs. Esther Pachal and daughters and Mrs. Harold Drescher joined the group in the afternoon and for supper.
