Washburn (11 October 1973)
The Cannonville Ladies Aid meeting, which was to meet at the home of Mrs. Ralph
Short, October 17, has been postponed until a later date.
Bible Study will be held at the Lyle Cary home in Sherwood this (Thursday)
evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Kapfer drove to West Bend Wednesday and spent the night with
his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Jim Kapfer. Thursday, the two
couples left on a few days’ trip to Dayton, Ky., to visit an aunt and uncle of
the gentlemen and other relatives for a few days.
Mrs. Eva Carlson of Lincolnwood, Il., called on Mrs. Irving Stevens Sunday. She
has been spending some time with relatives in Withee. She also called at the
Jack Urban home a few weeks ago.
Mrs. Harold Elmendorf and granddaughter, Carrie Sexton, spent last weekend with
Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Short. Saturday the Shorts, Mrs. Elmendorf and Carried called
at the Dale Reinart home.
Mrs. Lyle Abrahamson and son of Fairchild called recently at the Mrs. Irving
Stevens and Walter Trachte homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Havlicek, Sr., were Tuesday dinner guests of Barbara
Wnuczynski in Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Johnson and daughter of Tennessee, and Esther Ferguson and
adopted daughter of River Falls, called on Mrs. Art Odell Thursday. They also
called on Mr. and Mrs. Richard Qualley. Mrs. Johnson is the former Lula
Ferguson, sister of Esther Ferguson, and they were daughters of the late Mr. and
Mrs. Sam Ferguson.
Dick Coughlin of Eau Claire called Thursday at the john Reinart and Ralph Short
homes.
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Vincent and Mrs. Irving Stevens called Sunday evening at the
Jack Urban home.
Bert Schultz and mother, Mrs. Herman Schultz, called Sunday at the Mrs. Art
Odell home.
Mrs. Harry Kissling was a Tuesday supper guests of Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Kissling.
Mr. and Mrs. Oliver Williams visited her mother, Mrs. William Poler at Memorial
Home Tuesday. They also called on Paul Schultz there.
Mr. and Mrs. Rob Ehlert and Mrs. Magnus Romfoe of Gilman, and Mrs. Jerry Teclaw
and daughter, Jenni, of Jacksonville, N.C., visited Mrs. Harold Elmendorf Monday
and Mr. Ehlert assisted Mrs. Elmendorf with some work.
Brenda Urban and Mr. and Mrs. David Vine were supper guests Friday of their
grandmother, Mrs. Irving Stevens.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Schultz and family, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schultz, Mr. and Mrs.
Paul Schultz, Jr., and Greg and Alfred Schultz all of Waterford and Franksville,
spent the weekend at the John and Dale Reinart homes getting their trailer home
ready to live in for hunting season and snowmobiling. They have it parked near
the Dale Reinart trailer home.
Harry Carstenson called Saturday evening at the Mrs. Art Odell home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jack Urban were dinner guests Friday of her mother, Mrs. Irving
Stevens.
