Davidson, Gene (3 SEP 1881 – 27 MAY 1965)
Services were held Saturday afternoon at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home here
for Gene Davidson, 83, of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Thursday. The Rev.
Robert Goessling of the Congregational Church officiating and burial was made in
the Riverside Cemetery at Withee.
Serving as pallbearers were Clarence Pyatt, C.E. Beck, Donald Poppe, Bernard
Poppe, John Scheuerman, and Arnold Anger.
Mr. Davidson was born Sept. 3, 1881, in Minnesota, and had worked there and in
Michigan before coming to Owen. His marriage to Mathilda Poppe, who preceded him
in death in 1919, took place in 1900.
Survivors include a son, Richard, Austin, Texas; two daughters, Mrs. Evelyn
Scwede and Mrs. Ray (Gladys) Flora, West Allis; six grandchildren and nine
great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son and a daughter.
