Buehler, Frances Ann (12 JUN 1965)
Lilacs and bridal wreath decorated the church altar at Immanuel Lutheran Church
at Longwood on Saturday, June 12, 1965 at a 1:30 o’clock ceremony, when Miss
Frances Ann Buehler became the bride of James Duane Ericksmoen of Owen.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Gassett of Ashland, while the
groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Ericksmoen of route 1, Owen (Clark Co.,
Wis.).
When given in marriage by her stepfather, the nuptial vows were read by Rev.
Arvid Myhrwold. During the ceremony, Mrs. Myhrwold sang “O Perfect Love” and
Wedding Prayer,” with Miss Judy Pribbernow accompanying her.
The floor length bridal gown of organza over taffeta was styled with scoop
neckline etched with an overlay of re-embroidered Alencon lace and an A-line
skirt complemented by a modified empire bodice and cascading into a chapel
train.
An organza petal cloche featuring pearls held a bouffant veil of silk illusion.
Her crescent shaped arrangement of pink and white Shasta daisies was entwined
with ivy.
Serving as bridal aides were Miss Marie Buehler, maid of honor, and Miss Dorothy
Rae Buehler, bridesmaid, all of Ashland.
They donned powder blue floor length formals of taffeta with bateau necklines
and bell shaped skirts and Watteau panels accenting the back. Each had a
matching scalloped veil attached to a bow. They held crescent arrangements of
yellow and white shata daisies entwined with ivy.
Allen Ericksmoen was beat man, Lynn Shattuck was groomsman and the ushers were
Walter Wrolstad and Roger Shattuck.
The reception was held at the parish hall at Longwood and in the evening there
was a dance at the Legion Hall, Owen.
Mrs. Ericksmoen, who attended Medford High School, has been a teacher in Medford
area schools. Her husband, who attended Owen-Withee High School, is a sawyer for
Frederick Post Company. Owen is the home of the newlyweds.
