Tara Niemi and Todd Strassburger of Medford announce their wedding engagement. She is the daughter of Allan and Janice Niemi of Westboro. He is the son of Monty and Sally Strassburger of Whittlesey.

Tara graduated from Rib Lake High School and received a bachelor’s degree in elementary and special education from UW-Stevens Pont. She also earned a masters degree in general education from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota. She is currently employed as special education teacher in the Phillips School District.

Todd graduated from Medford Area Senior High School and received a welding certificate from Northcentral Technical College. He is currently employed at Meyer Manufacturing in Dorchester.

The couple plans a June 20 wedding in Las Vegas, NV.
