Smith, Christine (27 FEB 1888 – 3 JUL 1965)

Funeral services were held here Monday afternoon at two o’clock for Mrs. Robert Smith. The final rites were conducted from the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home, with Rev. Paul Troper officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.

She passed away Saturday, July 3, 1965 at her home in Marshfield.

Mrs. Smith, nee Christine Hansen was born Feb. 27, 1888 in Illinois. In 1914 she married the late Robert Smith in a ceremony performed at Greenwood (Clark Co., Wis.). He preceded her in death, passing away in 1944. In 1946 she moved to Marshfield, where she has since made her home. However, when she was a resident of this community she gained a wide circle of friends while working as a clerk in grocery stores, both in Owen and Withee.
