Larsen, Gladys (19 JUN 1965)

Now on a wedding trip to Wis. Dells are Mr. and Mrs. John Peter Frolin, who were married Saturday, June 19, 1965, at 3 p.m. in the Nazareth Lutheran Church at Withee, by the Rev. Beryl Knudsen.

The couple, whose parents are Mr. and Mrs. Einer Larsen of route 1, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence A. Frolin, Chicago, Ill., will live at 512 W. Madison St., Oak Park, Ill. The groom is a clerk for the Santa Fe Railroad in Chicago. He graduated there in 1962 from Fenger High School. The bride graduated this spring from the Owen-Withee High School.

Mr. Larsen gave his daughter in marriage, as Mrs. Dorothy Miller provided the organ music and Miss Patti Ann Simon, sang vocal selections – “O Perfect Love” and “Because.”

Large blue daisies and small yellow flowers were arranged as altar decorations. Miss Larsen was seen in a floor length gown of Chantilly lace designed with a Sabrina neckline edged with pearls and sequins, and a bouffant skirt with four tiers of lace highlighted by a detachable lace overskirt sweeping into a chapel train.

A crown of pearl, accented by crystal, held her bouffant veil of sheer silk illusion in fingertip length. She carried a bouffant of three white orchids with yellow throats interspersed with ivy.

Mrs. Linda Lockhart, Withee, served as matron of honor, and Miss Celeste Johnson of Morris, Ill., as bridesmaid. Each wore a pale blue dress of Alencon lace over satin fashioned with bell skirt and in street length, had a face veil and white accessories and carried a crescent of yellow roses.

Charles Benning of Kenosha served as best man and Ed Downs of Oak Park, Ill., the groomsman. Ken Larsen and Mike Cederstrand were ushers.

Little Karen Fravert of Greenwood was flower girl and ?ent Timmler of Milwaukee, the ring bearer.

The wedding day events, including a reception and supper, took place at the church hall, and the wedding dance was at the Trianon Ballroom.

Guests attending came from Chicago, Palos Heights, Oak Park, Sycamore and Morris, Ill.; Duluth and Minneapolis, Minn.; Benton Harbor, Mich., the Philippine Islands; Oslo, Norway; and from Wisconsin – Kenosha, Milwaukee, Appleton, Wis. Rapids, Eau Claire, Loyal, Greenwood, Owen and Withee.
