Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at Greenwood was the setting for the wedding of Miss Nancy Englebretson of Wausau and John Siggelkow, Milwaukee, Saturday, June 19, 1965. The 2 p.m. marriage was heard by Rev. Arvid Myhrwold, pastor, with Mrs. Myhrwold providing vocal selections.

Miss Nancy Kay Englebretson is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Englebretson of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), and John William Siggelkow, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Siggelkow of Withee (Clark Co.). Mr. Englebretson presented his daughter in marriage before the altar which had been decorated with arrangements of orchid and white gladioli.

Chosen by the bride for her wedding, was a floor length bridal gown with jewel trimmed scalloped neckline on the Basque bodice of Chantilly lace. Her full skirt of angel mist taffeta, the draped front edged with lace and caught up with self-fabric bow. The back completed the outfit with removable train.

Bouffant illusion veil was secured to a heart shaped headpiece of pearlized orange blossoms, pink roses and stephanotis fashioned her cascade bouquet.

Miss Gayle Englebretson of Owen served as maid of honor and Mrs. Bonnie Englebretson of Loyal, the bridesmaid. Their street length dresses were fashioned of orchid nylon over taffeta with bell shaped skirts and scoop necklines. Each had a matching headpiece and carried an orchid and white colonial bouquet of carnations.

Charles Siggelkow of Milwaukee was the groom’s best man, and Gary Englebretson, Loyal, was the groomsman. Bruce Englebretson, Owen and Donald Siggelkow, Withee, ushered.

After the ceremony, a reception and buffet lunch took place in the church parlors.

The bride is a 1962 graduate of Owen-Withee High School and has been employed at Employer’s Mutual Insurance Company in Wausau. Her husband, a 1959 graduate of the same school, is a machine operator at Harley Davidson in Milwaukee, where they will make their home after returning home from a wedding trip to northern Wisconsin.
