Schroeder, James H. Sr. (23 May 1933 - 1 September 1973)

James H. Schroeder, Sr., 40, of Lannon, a former Neillsville resident, died September 1, at Deaconess Hospital following open heart surgery. Interment was in City Point Cemetery.

Mr. Schroeder was born May 23, 1933, at Spencer. His marriage to the former Donna Mae Reshel took place August 8, 1953 in Neillsville. He was a member of the Lannon volunteer fire department.

Survivors, in addition to his wife, include a son, James, Jr., of Milwaukee and a daughter, Penny Sue, at home; his parents, Mom and step-father, Mr. and Mrs. Joe Struensee, Jr., of Neillsville; step-brothers: Dale, Richard, Robert, Warren, Floyd and Darryl Struensee and brothers: Jerome, Harvey and Donald Schroeder; step-sisters: Shirley and Alice all married, and Miss Carol Struensee; sister Geraldine; and one grandson, James III.

He was preceded in death by his father, William ‘Bill’ Schroeder in 1946.

Pallbearers, all Lannon volunteer firemen, were Dale Malquist, Jeff Buchholz, Robert Monacilli, Ronald Monacilli, Richard Pankratz and James Gissol. Honorary casketbearers were Mario Monacilli and Keith Gissol.
