Loos, Patricia (Marriage - 6 October 1973)
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church, Loyal, was the setting for the October 6 wedding
of Miss Patricia Loos, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Gilbert Loos of Rt. 1 Loyal, and
Glen Bennett, son of Mrs. Athalie Bennett of Loyal. The Rev. Norbert E. King
officiated at the 12:30 p.m. ceremony. The newlyweds greeted guests later at a
reception, dinner and dance held at Bali Hai supper club.
Presented in marriage by her father, the bride appeared in an Edwardian style
gown of nylon fashioned with lace sleeves and yoke. The gown and its full train
were appliquéd with roses and pearls. Her fingertip veil of ivory illusion
cascaded from a Camelot headpiece. She carried a bouquet of white and peach
carnations and mums, centered with roses.
Mrs. Betty Rondorf, Greenwood, sister of the bride, was the matron of honor.
Bridesmaids were Miss Patricia Firnstahl, Miss Sandra Froeba and Mrs. Ruth Cook,
all of Loyal. Baskets of fall-colored mums and tinted carnations accented their
lace-trimmed, Empire-style peach gowns. Crocheted hats completed their
ensembles.
Serving as bestman was Raymond Rondorf, Greenwood, Wolfgang Cohn, Marshfield,
and Jerry Noeldner and Dennis Cook, Loyal, acted as groomsmen. Ushers were
Robert Loos, Loyal, and James Larson, Milwaukee.
Guitar and organ music was provided by Miss Judy Zettler, Mrs, Sharon
Schoonover, Mrs. Diane Andregg and Miss Jodi Schoonover.
The bride was honored at three prenuptial showers. A surprise kitchen shower was
given by teachers and aides at the Loyal Elementary School, where the former
Miss Loos is employed as a teachers’ aid. Mrs. Marvelene Butterbrodt and Mrs.
Clara Davel were hostesses at a linen shower, and a miscellaneous shower was
hostessed by Mrs. B. E. Artz, Mrs. Del Capelle and Mrs. Jack Kruger.
The newlyweds are both graduates of Loyal High School and she was also graduated
from MSTI-Wisconsin Rapids. The groom is employed by a Loyal furniture store.
Following a wedding trip to Northern Wisconsin, their home address is Mapleway
Terrace, Loyal.
