Burmeister, Henry B. (16 JAN 1919 - 15 JAN 2009)
Henry B. Burmeister, 89, Athens, died Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Aspirus
Wausau Hospital.
He was born January 16, 1919 in town of Berlin, son of the late Julius and
Helena (Splettdozer) Burmeister. On February 11, 1950 he married Barbara
Williamson at Zion Lutheran Church, Rib Falls. She survives.
Henry was a dairy and ginseng farmer in the town of Berlin his whole life. He
was a fun loving and caring person. In his spare time he enjoyed the morning
coffee clutch and playing sheepshead. He always displayed a caring concern for
everyone and loved auctions.
Survivors include his wife, Barbara, Athens; four children, Gary (Suzanne)
Burmeister, Rib Falls, Helen (Robert) Kuklinski, town of Reid, Allen Burmeister,
town of Berlin and Robert (Renee) Burmeister, town of Berlin; 11 grandchildren,
Albert (Cheryl) Burmeister, Lynette (Dave) Kummerow, Lee (Gina) Burmeister,
Michael Burmeister, Robert Kuklinski, Lisa (Ben) Laatch, Brianna Burmeister,
Leah Burmeister, Sarah Burmeister, Bruce Burmeister and Derek Burmeister; 10
great grandchildren, Maculey, Dawson, Dakota, Alexandria, Seth, Miranda, Aliyah,
Audrey, Cheyanne and Hayden; two sisters-in-law, Irma Burmeister, town of
Stettin and Jean Burmeister, Athens; many other relatives and friends.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Ella Hass, Hilda
Woller and Ruth Krueger and four brothers, Elmer, Ervin, John and Martin
Burmeister.
Services will be 11 a.m. Monday, January 19, 2009 at St. Peter Lutheran Church,
town of Hamburg. Rev. Sarah Nehring will officiate. Friends may call from 10
a.m. until the time of services Monday at the church.
The family wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Aspirus
Wausau Hospital for their concern and care given to Henry during his stay.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. Peter Lutheran Church.
