Myhre, Henry O. (20 JAN 1901 – 6 JUL 1965)
Funeral services were held for Henry O. Myhre, 64, at Our Savior's Lutheran
Church at Stanley on Saturday afternoon, July 10, at 2 o'clock, the Rev. Carl W.
Peters officiating. Mr. Myhre died at his home on Second Avenue on Tuesday
evening, July 6, 1965.
Mr. Myhre was born the son of Iver and Carrie (Nelson) Myhre on Jan. 20, 1901,
in Lanesboro, Minn. He moved to Amery as a small boy, and then to Owen in 1920.
He was married to Miss Mabel Welker at Duluth, Minn. in 1924. They moved to
Stanley in 1933, and have since resided here. He was an employee of the railroad
company, having retired during the past year.
He is survived by his wife, one son, Wallace, of Holcombe; two daughters, Mrs.
Richard (Shirley) Huls and Mrs. Jack (Janis) Korn, both of Stanley; three
brothers, Julius of Clar Lake, I.C. of Stanley, and Edward of Eau Claire; three
sisters, Mrs. A.J. Bjorhlund of Minneapolis, Mrs. A.W. Wolfram of Owen, and
Helen Jones of Seattle, Wash.; also nine grandchildren. His parents, two
sisters, and one daughter preceded him in death.
He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star in
Stanley, and the Masonic Lodge in Thorp.
