Anderson, Mr./Mrs. Grant (Silver – 25 JUL 1965)
About 125 friends, neighbors and relatives gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Grant Anderson on Sunday, July 25, 1965 for an "open house" celebration honoring
the couple on their 25th wedding anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Anderson were married on July 25, 1940 at Our Savior's Lutheran
Parsonage at Stanley, Wis. They lived in Stanley for four years, where Mr.
Anderson worked in the creamery. In 1944 they moved to the Frenchtown community,
where they share rented the former Axel Sorenson farm. The purchased the farm
owned by Richard Nielsen in October of 1950 and they still reside on this farm.
The Anderson's have a son and two daughters, Norman Anderson of route 1, Withee,
Mrs. Roman March (Carol) of Mosinee, and Bonnie, who is employed in Minneapolis.
There are three grandchildren.
Mr. Anderson was born in Iowa County in southern Wisconsin. He moved with his
parents in 1937 to a farm north of Stanley. Mrs. Anderson was born and raised in
the same community which they now reside.
For the 25 anniversary celebration all of the children were present, and
realtives and friends attending came from Milwaukee, Chicago, California,
Stanley and the Owen-Withee area.
