St. Mary's Assumption Parish of the Polish National Catholic Church in Lublin,
Wis., will celebrate the 40th anniversary of its establishment, Aug. 15, 1965.
In addition to the celebration, twenty-five children will be confirmed by the
Rt. Rev. Francis Kowinski, Bishop Ordinary of the Western Diocese of the Polish
National Catholic Church. Services at the church will start at 10 a.m. and a
typically sumptuous Polish dinner will be served at 12:30 p.m., combined with a
program honoring the anniversary.
The parish is expecting guests from Duluth, Minn.; Minneapolis and Mosinee, Wis.
Members of the mission parishes from Hawkins and Radisson, Wis., also are
planning to attend. Rev. Father Hewetson of St. Katherine's Episcopal Church of
Owen and Rev. Father Emiljan Glocar of the Russian Orthodox Church of Lublin,
and their members also have been invited and will be present.
St. Mary's parish recruits its members from Lublin, Thorp, Stanley, Gilman and
Withee. They and their friends in these communities rejoice with St. Mary's
parish on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of its establishment.
