Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bakke are the proud parents of a son, Danny Robert, born July 16, 1965 at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley. Danny weighed 5 pounds, 10 1/2 ounces. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Bakke and Mr. and Mrs. Robert Weidman of Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.).

Mrs. Oscar Parkinson entertained a group of ladies at her cottage on Sand Lake near New Auburn on Wednesday, Aug. 4, 1965, at which the afternoon was enjoyed playing contract bridge. Those attending were Mesdames, L.W. Cattanach, Art Schwenke, John Rittenhouse, Henry Andersen, Harvey Weddig, John Gummerson, Ben Bruchert, Henry Mauel Sr., and Neal Laine. Winenrs for the afternoon of bridge were Mesdames, Al Laine, Jule Gummerson and Art Schwenke. A lovely noon day lunch was served by the hostess and later coffee and lunch before leaving. It was a lovely day to be at the lake and a nice afternoon was spent by the group.
