Chudyk, Marjorie Ann (4 SEP 1965)

The Holy Rosary Catholic Church at Owen was the scene of the wedding of Miss Marjorie Ann Chudyk and Edward Roger Friedenfels Saturday, Sept. 4, 1965.

Rev. Huber L. Crubel, pastor, officiated at the ceremony at which the bride was given in marriage by her father. She is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Chudyk, route 1, Owen, and the groom is the son of Mrs. Emil Friendenfels, route 2, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). The church choir sang for the wedding and the altar held white and pink gladioli.

The bride’s floor length gown of Chantilace featured a Sabrina neckline and fitted bodice above a full four tier skirt which ended in a large V-shaped chapel train. Her bouffant veil of English illusion billowed from a crown of seed pearls with aurora crystal teardrops and she carried a floral bouquet.

Street length dresses of fiesta pink peau de soie featuring bateau necklines, fitted bodices and floor length overskirts were worn by the bridal aides, with their small bouffant veils and floral headpieces. Mrs. Albert Mercier of Milwaukee was the matron of honor and Mrs. Frank Chudyk of Unity, the bridesmaid. They carried white roses.

Albert Mercier and Frank Chudyk served as the groom’s attendants. Arnold Pogodzinski and Frank Friedenfels, both of Owen, Ushered.

A reception for the wedding was at the parental Chudyk home and the dinner was at the church hall. The dance that evening took place at the American Legion Hall in Owen.

The newlyweds are graduates of Owen-Withee High School, she in 1963 and he in 1961. She has been employed at Hub City Jobbing Co. in Marshfield, and he is a diesel mechanic. They will make their home in Milwaukee.
