Mr. and Mrs. A.M. Erickson returned home after spending several weeks visiting
their son, Mr. and Mrs. John Erickson and family at St. Cloud, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Gunvel Gilbertson of Columbus, Ohio are house guests at the home of
his sister, Martha Harmel, and are visiting other relatives in this area.
Saturday guests at the home of Mrs. Anna Tonn were her sister-n-law, Mrs. Rose
Tonn and son, Paul, of Mequon, Wis. and Mrs. W. Miller of Grafton, Wis.
Ernst Augustine of St. Paul, Minn. was a weekend guest at the home of Martha and
Herbert Buss.
Weekend and Sunday guests of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Klemetson were their
daughter, Judy, and Harry Klempke of Beloit and Mrs. Edmond Rohland and children
of Withee.
Mrs. Sherman Long Sr. returned home Friday evening after spending the past week
visiting at the the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Sherman Long Jr. and family at
Manitowoc and with other relatives at Two Rivers.
Rev. John Nau of Shawano was guest speaker at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Green
Grove Sunday morning.
The Curtiss homemakers held their first meeting at the council room Tuesday
evening, Sept. 14. 19 members signed for the year. Mrs. Hulda Anderson,
president presided over the meeting and the homemakers creed was repeated in
unison. Reports were given on the county meeting held at Greenwood Sept. 13.
Delegates from this club who attended were Mrs. Hulda Anderson, Mrs. Beverly
Uttke and Mrs. Ruby Lueth.
Mrs. Paul Kramas spent the past week visiting her parents and other relatives in
Milwaukee. While there she attended the 25th anniversary of her high school
reunion. At this meeting she received a prize for having the largest family and
the oldest grandchild. Her daughter, Mrs. James Meyer and son of Dorhcester
stayed at the Kramas’ home while she was gone.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Thess returned home Saturday evening after a week outing at
Turtle Lake, Wis.
Mr. and Mrs. A.J. Hennlich attended the funeral of her brother-in-law, Wm.
Ouimette, at Park Fall Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Fahrenbach and Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Primeau of Marshfield
spent the weekend at Ontonagon and Porcupine Mountain, Mich.
Mrs. Viola Sill and Mrs. Ed Schroeder of Marshfield were Sunday guests at the
home of Mrs. Mary Fahrenbach and the Harvey Witt Sr. home.
Mr. and Mrs. Archie Ackerman spent the past week visiting their son-in-law and
daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Gayken and family and his sister, Mrs. Inez
Ostlund, Superior, Wis.
