Wesneski, John P. (16 JUN 1909 – 17 SEP 1965)
John Paul Wesneski, a longtime resident of the Green Grove (Clark Co., Wis.),
suffered a fatal heart attack at his rural home late Friday afternoon, Sept. 17,
1965.
Funeral services were held at two o’clock Monday afternoon, Sept. 20, from the
Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. Rev. Arnold Woodring, pastor of the Alliance
Church, conducted the service, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were Bernard Auber, Ray Lapp, Ed Ertl, Salem Johnson,
Lawrence Newman and art Fakes.
John Paul Wesneski was born June 16, 1909 at Swan River, Minn., the son of Mary
and Walter Wesneski. He received his education at Excelsior, Minn. On Sept. 25,
1929 he and the former Mae Komis exchanged nuptial vows in a ceremony performed
at Greenwood (Clark Co.), Wis. For several years he did construction work until
1943 when he purchased his farm home in the town of Green Grove, southwest of
Owen, where he has since resided.
His sudden and sorrowful death is mourned by his wife, Mae; four daughters, Mrs.
Arvid (Anna Mae) Lingren and Mrs. Joe (Joyce) Ackerman Jr., route 2, Owen; Mrs.
George (Carol Jean) Behringer, Winneconne, Wis.; and Mrs. Raymond (Norma)
Miller, Marshfield, and 14 grandchildren.
