Last weekend was a special fun-filled time for the Jennie Dux family. After enjoying the Palm Sunday pancake breakfast, attending church services and eating dinner to celebrate Easter, the family held an Easter egg hunt. Later in the afternoon, the group went to a sugar bush to see the steps in making maple syrup. The children were shown how to tap the trees, gather the sap, how to cook the sap the old fashioned way and then tasted the sweet syrup. The family also visited the farm to see the animals. Attending the festivities were Bill and Debbie Grap, Milwaukee; John and Kimmie Droglier and children: Dyllon, Madyson, Katie, Mollie and Kallin, West Bend; Chris and Elisabeth Cordray, Almond; and Dan and Bunny Dux, Josh, Amanda, Kaden, Nathan and Mason Dux, Neillsville.

The birthday of Marie Henning was celebrated at a luncheon in her honor last Wednesday, April 1, at the apartment of her sister-in-law, Ann Thompson, in Marshfield. Also attending were Marie’s sisters, Carol Ayers and Dorothy Jacoby and husband, Lee. In the afternoon the group enjoyed playing dominoes together.

Easter weekend Harvey and Amber Pischer and Jim and Mary Christie attended the wedding of their grandson, Dr. Kevin Christie and Jennifer Sellers in Minneapolis, MN. Also attending were Dan and Carrie Christie, Lisa Christie, Black River Falls; Lori Christie, Clermont, FL; Peter and Denyse Schumacher and Jeremy and Carrie Schumacher, Milwaukee; Kenneth Pischer and Trudy Kendall, Santa Rosa, CA; Tom and Kathy Hyslop and Joe and Jennifer Barber and sons, Tommy, Morgan and Will, Pewaukee; David Pischer, Edmonds, WA; Austin Pischer, Bothell, WA; Anna Pischer, Davis, CA; Jason and Val Pischer and sons, Hudson and Ryan, Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; and John Marg-Patton, New Brighton, MN.

How bad were the winds on ‘windsday,’ April 1? They were strong enough to take a full-sized (13 ft) trampoline from one back yard to another somersaulting a fence in between and narrowly missing an overhead utility line! It landed right-side up, no fooling! Now the trick will be to put it back in its original location.

This next one is of a lady, whose parents were Humbird residents, as I know her sister Judy, who was of Humbird when a young girl.
