Fitzpatrick, Sharon Gertrude (17 February 1943 - 15 March 2015)
Sharon Gertrude Fitzpatrick, 72, of Black River Falls died Sunday, March 15,
2015, at her home.
Sharon was born Feb. 17, 1943, in Baldwin to Lyle and Grace (Pechtold) Newell.
Sharon married Kenneth Fitzpatrick Nov. 28, 1959. They later divorced but
remained friends. Sharon was his primary caregiver until he died Sept. 20, 2012.
Sharon was a very loving person who devoted her life to her family. In addition
to caring for Kenneth, she took care of many other family members.
For several years, Sharon worked in the meat department of John’s IGA in Black
River Falls. At the time of her retirement, she worked as a banker at the
Ho-Chunk Casino.
Sharon is survived by her children, Todd (Lori) Fitzpatrick, Robert Fitzpatrick
and Jodi (Don Peasley) Fitzpatrick all of Black River Falls; four grandchildren:
Justin (Cyndy) Callisto of Blaine, MN, Stephanie Stawski of Hilton head Island,
SC, Mindy Fitzpatrick of Onalaska and Joshua (Kendra) Mouradian of Sparta; five
great-grandchildren: Landen, Tyler, Keelin, Breyson and Quinn; one brother,
Vergil (Jill) Newell of Sun Prairie; two sisters: Judy (Eric) Hanson of Alma
Center and Christine (Ambrose) Meyer of Plymouth, MN. She is further survived by
many nieces, nephews and friends.
In addition to her husband, Sharon was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle
and Grace; and a grandson, Jimmy Fitzpatrick.
Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, March 20, 2015, at Buswell
Funeral Home in Black River Falls, with Rev. Terry Marg officiating. Burial will
be in Sullivan Cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.
