Mr. and Mrs. Loppen were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Laabs,
Tomah.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Wilkie, Sheboygan, were guests last weekend at the homes of
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence and Mr. and Mrs. Albert Schultz.
Mrs. Emma Skinner, Bloomington, Ill., returned to her home Friday after a week’s
visit at the home of her son, Mr. and Mrs. Wayne Olson.
Mrs. Anna Tonn, who attended the funeral of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Rose Tonn,
Tuesday at Milwaukee, returned home Friday evening.
Members of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church A.L.C.W. her, who attended the workshop
meeting at Stratford Thursday, were Mrs. Henry Nacker, Mrs. Harold House, Mrs.
E.M. Peterson, Mrs. Sherman Long, Mrs. Clarence Geary and Mrs. Stensrud.
Tech Sgt. Clyde Peissig, son of Mr. and Mrs. Franklin Peissig, recently
graduated with a high average of 94.5 at the Missile Guidance System School,
Chanute Field, Ill.
Sandra Konik, Racine, spent the weekend at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Herbert Thess.
Mr. and Mrs. Emery Peissig were weekend guests at the home of their daughter,
Mr. and Mrs. James Niederloh, Minneapolis, Minn.
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Klimpke, Racine, spent the weekend at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Klemetson.
Mr. and Mrs. C.F. Gustafson spent Sunday at the Jane and Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Peissig homes.
Mrs. Clarence Schultz has been staying with her mother, Mrs. Victor Mattila at
St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, who was seriously injured in an auto accident
at the Curtiss Corners Friday at 12:30 p.m. She is suffering from a fractured
pelvis, a broken ankle and wrist, also shock.
The Curtiss fire department was called to the Carl Jakel home early Sunday
morning to fight a furnace fire which burned a hole in the floor and
considerable smoke damage was done.
Mr. and Mrs. C.W. Geary were weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Clifford
Netzel and family, Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Arnold Reishus are visiting their son and family, Mr. and Mrs.
Harold Reishus Jr., Milwaukee, this week.
Thursday overnight guests at the Armin Peterson home were her sister, Mr. and
Mrs. Paul Cosby and family, Indianapolis, Ind. Sunday, guests there were Mr. and
Mrs. Ronald Beckman and daughter, Thorp.
Mrs. Wm. George of Wausau was a Sunday guest at the Cornell Erickson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick and their guests, Earl Crawford of Washington were
weekend guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Grant Herrick Jr., Columbus.
Ferdinand Laabs of Rocoella, Idaho, returned to his home after visiting
relatives and friends here the past week.
Miss Sandra Rohland, who attends St. Joseph’s School of Nursing at Marshfield,
spent the weekend at her home. She had as her guests, Misses Linda Winkler and
Sharon Reinke of Gillette. Sandra attended the Wis. State Student Nurse
convention at La Crosse on October 16 and was recently elected treasurer of her
class.
