Fern D. Harms left Sunday for his work at Belvidere, Ill., after spending
Thanksgiving with home folks.
Miss Ann Harms and Gary Harms of Monroe, Wis. left Sunday, after spending
Thanksgiving with their grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Fern Harms of Withee and
Russell Mead of Thorp.
Mr. and Mrs. James Ryman and Julie Ann spent Thanksgiving Day at the home of her
parents, Mr. and Mrs. H.D. Falkenstein at Belvidere, Ill. Mrs. Ryman and Julie
remained until Sunday, when they were joined by her husband. They visited in
Cherry Valley, Ill. at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Ryman,
Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Tratz and family spent Thanksgiving in Carolina at the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Emil Malreg, and the weekend at Tigerton visiting his
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wilbur Buck.
Mr. and Mrs. Randall Jablonic and family of Madison spent the Thanksgiving
vacation at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Jablonic.
Mr. and Mrs. Erick Ohman, Mr. and Mrs. William Ohman and family from Glenwood
City, Hedley Johnson, Janet and Mark of St. Paul, and Mrs. Anna Sorenson spent
Thanksgiving Day at the Clark Nisson home.
Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Knock and family spent Thanksgiving Day at the home of
relatives, Mr. and Mrs. Richardson and children of Waupun spent the Thanksgiving
weekend at the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Peter Madsen and Mrs. D.R.
Richardson.
L.A. Richardson of Menomonie spent the weekend at the home of his mother, Mrs.
D.R. Richards, and his sister and family, Mr. and Mrs. E.W. Sutter.
Visiting on Friday at the Toivo Kallio home were Mr. and Mrs. Vilho Mutka of
Horicon.
Guests on Thanksgiving Day at the Toivo Kallio home were Mr. and Mrs. Andrew
Kallio and Fred Pudlas of Curtiss. Ronald was home all week from Stout State
University.
Students home for Thanksgiving from Stout State University were Donna Fritz,
Jeffrey Mathewson, terry Wenzel and Ron Kallio; also Suzie Barrett, Kathy Leahy
and Don Miller.
Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Luke and children returned Monday to their home in Waukegan,
Ill., after a Thanksgiving holiday visit at the home of her parents, Mr. and
Mrs. William Kangas.
Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Bjorn of Ironwood, Mich. were last weekend guests at the home
of his brother, Ensio Bjorn, and son.
Sunday dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Knaack included Mrs. E.G.
Thorson and son Brian of Minneapolis; Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mertens and family of
Withee, Mrs. Dean Welker and daughter, Michelle of Wausau and Mrs. Bud Welker.
Mrs. Dean Welker and daughter Michelle of Wausau spent several days at the Bud
Welker home while her husband, Dean, enjoyed hunting with his sister Joan, and
uncle Church Knaack. Others in the hunting party were her father, Bud Walker,
Vic Decker and Jerome Thorson of Neenah.
Mr. and Mrs. George O’Brien and daughter, Carla, of South Dakota, visited
Saturday with the William Kolesar family.
On Thursday evening Mr. and Mrs. William Kolesar and family and Mrs. Hattie
Obuchowski helped Mrs. Gladys Powlowski celebrate her birthday.
Visitors at the Caroline Teclaw’s home for the past week were Mr. and Mrs.
William Milew and sons, Dr. and Mrs. Allan Milew of Fontana, Calif., and Gen
Milew of Los Angeles. They also visited with Mrs. William Milew’s mother, Mrs.
Rose Gay, and other relatives at Thorp.
Guests at the Paul Fricke home over Thanksgiving wee Mr. and Mrs. Vernon Capes
and daughter of Milwaukee. Other guests for Thanksgiving dinner were Mr. and
Mrs. Ivan Larson of Marshfield, and Mrs. Nellie Wilson.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Baum and family of Caseyville, Ill. and Mr. and Mrs. Lyle
Martens and sons of Seymour, Wis. spent the Thanksgiving week at the home of
their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Pyatt and their sister and brother-in-law,
Mr. and Mrs. Jim Petersen of Withee. Other Thanksgiving Day guests were Mrs.
Eloise Martens of Wausau and Mr. and Mrs. Frank Taylor of Roscoe, Ill.
Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Baum and family were Saturday evening guests at the home of
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Baum, and Gary.
Miss Kathy Frey of Evanston, Ill. spent Thanksgiving at the home of her parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Harold Frey, and attended her parents silver wedding anniversary
party.
Kenneth and Keith Frey of Oswego, Ill. were home over Thanksgiving and helped
their parents celebrate their silver wedding anniversary.
