Poppe Paulette Ann (26 NOV 1965)
A candlelight service held at seven o’clock in the evening at St. John’s
Lutheran Church in Withee united Miss Paulette Ann Poppe and Larry Klabon in
marriage on Nov. 26, 1965. Rev. LeRoy Urman performed the nuptial vows.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Poppe, Withee, and the groom is
the son of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Klbon, also of Withee.
When given in marriage by her father the bride was gowned in a street length
ivory brocade wedding dress designed with long sleeves, and rounded neckline.
She wore a small veiled headpiece and carried a bouquet of red roses and white
mums.
Attending the bride was a cousin, Miss Carol Gay, Withee, who wore a street
length dress identical to the bride, in pale blue. Her corsage was made of red
roses and white mums.
Attending the groom as best man was Kenneth Klabon, brother of the groom, who is
stationed at Bunker Hill Air Force Base in Indiana.
Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held in St. John’s dining hall,
which was appropriately decorated with wedding bells and candles.
The future home of the newlyweds will be La Crosse, were Mr. Klabon is a
freshman student at Wis. State University.
