Heard, Alice (14 FEB 1888 – 14 DEC 1965)
Funeral services were held here Saturday, Dec. 18 for Alice Heard, a resident of
the Town of Hoard (Clark Co., Wis. for the past 23 years. She passed away at
5:15 p.m., Dec 14, 1965 at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley. Rev. Dale Bush
officiated at the final rites, with burial being made at Riverside Cemetery. Six
grandchildren served as pallbearers.
Born Feb. 14, 1888 in Georgia, the deceased had attained the age of 77 years and
10 months. In 1904 she was united in marriage to Andrew Lawson. She made her
home in Georgia until 1942, when she came to Clark County, making her home in
the town of Hoard with her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Adams.
Her passing is mourned by a brother, Earl, of Memphis, Tenn., a son, James
Lawson of Chicago, and a daughter, Mrs. Harvey (Ruth) Adams, rural owen; 18
grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Her husband passed away in 1950.
