Over the holiday weekend visiting at the home of Mrs. Viola Vetterkind wee Mr.
and Mrs. James Seliskar and children of Greenwood, Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Vetterkind
of Stetsonville and Dr. and Mrs. Charles Hike Jr. and children of Abbotsford.
Hazel Neff of Milwaukee spent the Christmas holidays at the home of her mother,
Mrs. E. Neff and brother, Chester.
Mr. and Mrs. Roy Svenson entertained the Post Co. bowling team and wives during
the holidays. It was also a going away party for Dave Nelson and his wife.
Among the guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Rabska on Christmas Day
were their sons, Mr. and Mrs. Roger Rabska and children of Oak Creek and Mr. and
Mrs. Lester Rabska and family of Chippewa Falls, Mr. and Mrs. John Zasoba, Mr.
and Mrs. Herman Rabska and family and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Peterson, all of Withee.
The Roy Svenson family enjoyed a visit with Mrs. Svenson’s sister and family.
The Gen Boyds of Zion, Ill., over the Christmas weekend.
Steve Heuer, Terry Woodbeck, Randy and Jim Wendt returned home Tuesday after
spending four days skiing at Indianhead near Bessemer, Mich.
Visiting at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Myron Frisch over the Christmas holidays
were Barbara and Sand Fritsch and a friend, Bill Lynn, of Milwaukee, Mr. and
Mrs. R.J. Johnson of Brookfield, Mrs. Howard Dumbleton of Stevens Point, and
Mrs. John Fritsch of Spencer.
Mrs. Russell Johnson, Mr. and Mrs. Fritsch and Mrs. H. Dumbleton visited Mrs.
Rinert at Woodruff Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Pralguske of West Fargo, N.D. arrived Monday to visit at
the home of her mother, Mrs. Rose Hansen. They called at the Paul Stasek home in
Owen for a visit Tuesday evening.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Dehm and family of Marshfield and Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Frome of
Unity were holiday visitors at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Frost and
family and Mrs. Frost’s mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Dehm of Colby also visited the
Frost home Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Chris Frost of Minneapolis visited his mother, Mrs. Chris Frost
Sr., recently. Christine and Peter Frost are remaining for an extended visit
with their grandmother, and also uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Thorvald Frost.
Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Nelson and son of Milwaukee visited her parents, Mr. and Mrs.
Ed Zelewski over the Christmas holiday.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stevens of Winter, Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Hoeper of Amery and
Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wall and family were guests at the home of their parents,
Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wall Sr.
Arthur Steager, son of Mr. and Mrs. Pete Steager, left Tuesday for Great Lakes,
where he is enlisted in the Navy.
S2/c Richard McDonald, who is stationed at Great Lakes, Ill. is spending his
Christmas leave at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Petke.
Mr. and Mrs. Dennis Miller of Addison, Ill. arrived Friday to spend the holidays
at the homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Miller and Mr. and Mrs. John
Wittek in Lublin.
Miss Connie Engel and brother, Ronald, who attend the University of Valparaiso
at Valparaiso, Ind. are spending the holiday vacation at the home of their
parents, Mr. and Mrs. Otto Engel.
Mr. and Mrs. Victor Nielsen and family of Phillips and Pfc. Jerry Nielsen of
Quantico, Va. arrived Friday to visit the A.R. martin home until Sunday evening.
Other guests on Christmas Day were Mr. and Mrs. Peter Zasoba and Mr. and Mrs.
Jack Olds of Owen.
Mrs. Alfred Olsen is a patient at Victory Memorial Hospital in Stanley, where
she was taken a week ago.
Mr. and Mrs. Tony Auberg of Eau Claire were supper guests at the home of Mr. and
Mrs. Martin Paulsen Sunday evening.
Sidney Sorensen, a member of the faculty at Crystal Lake, Ill. is spending the
Christmas and New Year vacation at the home of his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Sigurd
Sorensen.
Mr. and Mrs. Rollin Boughton of Waukesha arrived Saturday to attend the golden
wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Jesse Capes on Sunday. Among the others were
their daughters and families, Mr. and Mrs. Arnie Niemi and Mr. and Mrs. Robert
Leitzeau of Milwaukee, and son, Mr. and Mrs. Robert Capes of Marshfield.
Visitors over Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. A.W. Leahy were Kathy Leahy
from River Falls, Pat Leahy of Fond du Lac and Mr. and Mrs. Rober Medik of
Minneapolis.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Fischer and daughters of Bloomington, Minn. visited the home of
her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Frost, over the Christmas Holidays.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Nielsen were guests Sunday at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Alfred Frost.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Helberg of Rice Lake and Mr. and Mrs. Donald Christensen of
Eau Claire attended the Packer – Colts football game in Green Bay on Sunday.
Guests for Christmas at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen were Mr. and
Mrs. Leon Smith of Fond du Lac; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Helberg and son, Rice Lake;
Mr. and Mrs. Don Christensen and sons, Eau Claire, and Mr. and Mrs. Jim
Englebretson.
Guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. John Potocnik for Christmas were Miss Kristi
Potocnik and John Zimmerman of Madison, and Mr. and Mrs. Elliot Paulsen of
Spencer Lake.
James Bakke and Mrs. Joyce Ness of Aurora, Ill., Mr. and Mrs. Ross Krogman of
Audubon, Minn. and Mr. and Mrs. George Bake of South St. Paul wpent Christmas at
the home of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Uno Bakke.
Mr. and Mrs. Marlin Scharf of Bangor, Mich. are spending the Christmas holiday
at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. A.T. Stewart.
