Losiewicz, David Alvin (28 April 1947 - 13 April 2015)

David A. Losiewicz, age 67, of South Milwaukee, formerly of Thorp, died at Aurora St. Luke’s Hospital, in Milwaukee, on Monday, April 13, 2015. A Memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, 2015, at the Thorp Funeral Home, with Rev. Janusz Kowalski officiating. Burial will follow in New St. Hedwig’s Catholic Cemetery. Lunch will be served in the St. Bernard’s Church basement. Visitation will be held at Thorp Funeral Home, on Saturday, from 9:30 a.m. until time of service.

David Alvin Losiewicz was born on April 28, 1947, in Stanley, WI, the son of Felix and Harriet Losiewicz. He was raised and received his education in Thorp, graduating from Thorp High School in 1966. After high school, David worked at Bellinger Dairy, Plautz Brothers, and Mile-a-Way. He later moved to Milwaukee where he was a machinist for more than 30 years at Bucyrus-Erie International.

David had many interests, especially hunting and fishing.

He will be dearly missed by his mother, Harriet Losiewicz of Thorp; two sisters: Marilyn Eckes of Marshfield, and Cindi (Bill) Rickhoff of Wisconsin Rapids; one niece: Kari (John) Seaverson of Chaska, MN; one nephew: Craig (Samantha) Eckes of Cedar Rapids, IA; other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Felix Losiewicz.
