Peterson, Alganie (1 DEC 1879 – 13 JAN 1966)
Services were conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Withee Methodist Church for Mrs.
Alganie Peterson, 86, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Thursday at the
Memorial Home in Neillsville, where she had resided the past 18 months. Rev.
Paul Doering officiated, and burial was made in the Riverside Cemetery at
Withee.
Pallbearers were Ralph Miller, Hans Clausen, Edgar Albert, Shirley Grimes, C.L.
Tomey and Gene Mertens.
Mrs. Peterson was born Dec. 1, 1879 at New Holstein, Wis., and was married there
May 28, 1902 to George Peterson, who preceded her in death in 1943. The couple
came to Withee in 1905.
Mrs. Peterson was a member of the Withee Methodist Church. One daughter, Ellen,
died at the age of four in 1918.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Roma Ludzigson, Wilmington, Delaware; and
Mrs. Ann Crines, Keokuk, Iowa; two grandsons, William Ludzigson, Ligonier, Pa.;
and Douglas Crines, Keokuk, Iowa; and a granddaughter, Mrs. Linda Stanbery,
Daytona Beach, Fla.
